Meditation for Jen

You will have this baby soon enough. At the prospect of being overdue with Ryan, my memory file somehow pulled out the book "Not Without My Daughter". She delivered naturally at something (crazy) near 45 weeks. And she was in the desert.

The link below (audio file, perfect for the iPod) is for you my dear, from the moderator of our second go-round at Big Belly. For all its hippie-touchy-feely-ish, just go with it. Be there. Be in labor and send deliver-me-soon thoughts to that sweet little water baby. He knows he's running out of room but its so cozy and warm in there (if only he knew the weather we were having).

Getaway

We went to Portland last weekend. Its been a long time since I went back and it has (of course) changed a lot. My memory from 1984 includes to Mazzi's pizza on Macadam. I attempted to find my old house without the help of a map, but that was not successful.

We went to the Oregon Zoo. Nice zoo, but I think Woodland Park Zoo has better animals. Less shade, but better giraffes, elephants, and monkeys. Much time was spent watching the penguins eat lunch and being mesmorized by the sea lions.

The boys and I rode the streetcar. I think that was probably the hightlight. And we spent a few minutes in Knit Purl, so that was a bonus.

Am I missing something?
